Baby born in a onesie!

It’s only the sixth day of January, but this is definitely our fave story of the year so far, combining two things we like very much here at parenting solo – babies and onesies! So how about a lovely tale about a baby born in a onesie!?

The Sun reports that young mum Jessica Wynter, 21, from London, gave birth to her 6lb 5oz baby son in the leg of her giant baby suit as her parents rushed her to hospital!

Jessica was said to be ‘staggering’ through the car park at King’s College Hospital in Lambeth heavily contracting when baby Kye ‘fell out’ into the leg of her polka dot all-in-one!

“If I’d not been wearing it I don’t think Kye would have survived,” the graphic design student told the paper. “It was incredibly lucky — the onesie saved my baby’s life.”

Jessica’s mum Christine, 48, said she unzipped Jessica’s suit and found Kye ‘tucked up safely in the garment’s leg’.

“If she hadn’t had it on I dread to think what might have happened. It was really scary stuff,” the proud new granny said.

Jessica told reporters she would keep the adult babygro – which was a Christmas present from her grandmother – as a keepsake for Kye.

“This is my first little boy so I am so pleased nothing happened. I do have a few onesies, but this is undoubtedly my lucky one,” she said.

Fabulous!
